All of the Lower School and Upper School classrooms at CAST are inspired by the authentic Reggio classrooms of Italy in which the areas of exploration are conceived by the children and facilitated by the faculty. The CAST programs integrate science, literature, early math skills, dramatic play and a wide variety of hands-on activities into each of these areas of investigation. Our "Reggio" classrooms are comprised of blended ages and encourage a variety of "readiness skills" as children are nurtured, but also learn to nurture and respect their peers.

LOWER SCHOOL The Nursery The CAST infant program Loving, nurturing caregivers provide infants with one-on-one time and attention in a space that is warm and safe. Close communication with parents help caregivers to maintain schedules and to report special milestones! Infants are exposed to an environment that is rich with music, art and literature.
Sweet Peas Toddlers through 2 ¾ years Our Sweet Peas program is specially designed for toddlers under the age of three, and provides an environment that fosters exploration and trust. Facilitated by a loving and capable faculty, the three hour preschool program includes art, music, stories, movement and group playtime.
UPPER SCHOOL Snapdragons 2 ¾ years through 3 ¾ years Special environments that facilitate exploration and creativity, our Snapdragon classrooms are designed to spark children's imaginations and foster a love of learning.
Sunflowers 3 ¾ years through 5 years Designed for children who are preparing for kindergarten, the Sunflower classrooms are exciting and encourage investigation and exploration. This program prepares young students for their educational journey beyond preschool.
READY-SET-GROW 4 ½ years through 5 years A program for kindergarten-age children who will benefit from an additional year of readiness. This Reggio inspired program, with low student-teacher ratios and an emphasis on hands-on experiences, empowers children with useful skills such as creative thinking, effective teamwork, and the confidence to make wise choices and decisions; in addition, children have the advantage of an extra year in which to practice and sharpen their basic academic skills
KINDERGARTEN The CAST Kindergarten program provides individual attention and a nurturing environment for blossoming 5 year olds as it opens the door to broader educational goals and achievements. Reading readiness and exposure to many different kinds of literature, as well as hands-on science and math are important components of this exciting curriculum. Our Reggio inspired philosophy encourages children to question and explore both the arts and academics.
ENRICHMENT Odyssey 3 ¾ years through 5 years The Odyssey program at CAST is an afternoon enrichment program offered to children who are enrolled in Sunflowers or Ready-Set-Grow. Odyssey provides an afternoon of creativity and fun, offering hands-on activities in a number of areas including cooking, dramatic play, and African drumming, as well as a fun, playful introduction to French and Spanish.
DAYCARE — YEAR ROUND Infants through age 12; Full and Part Time; Before & After School Program; Continuing care, before and after our preschool programs, for all of our children. An after school program provides homework help and fun activities for the latch-key bunch!
